Hello! My name is Donna L. Valdez and I am currently the principal at Sierra Vista Elementary as well as
Mike “Mateo” Sena Elementary. I have had the privilege of working for Las Vegas City Schools for over
22 years. During this time, I served as an Elementary teacher for 15 years, a Student Engagement
Advisor for one year, and as an Administrator for the past six years, with experience at both the high
school and elementary levels. My ultimate goal is to ensure that your child has a safe, successful and
enjoyable educational experience. I have an open-door policy and encourage all parents and guardians
to feel comfortable sharing their concerns, suggestions and positive feedback. Your input is always
welcome and valued as we work together to create the best possible experience for you and your child.
